August 2007 Loudoun Chapter endorses Candidates for Board of Supervisors and Commonwealth Attorney On August 3, 2007 the Political Screening Committee for the Loudoun Chapter conducted screenings for candidates seeking election to the Board of Supervisors and for the Commonwealth Attorney. The screening questions for the Board of Supervisors covered the following issues; evening/night differential, employer contribution to deferred compensation accounts, approval of personnel budget as requested by the Sheriff’s Office, employee pay scales and employee leave. The screening questions for the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney covered the following issues; court scheduling, officer’s failure to appear in court, Commonwealth Attorney input on judicial reviews and waiver of 4th Amendment rights in certain cases. After the screening the Committee, based on the candidate’s responses to the screening questions, provided the Chapter Board of Directors with their recommendations for endorsement. After careful review the Chapter Board of Directors voted to endorse the following candidates. Commonwealth Attorney Jim Plowman (R) Board of Supervisors
Everyone is encouraged to get out and vote for the individuals that will best represent the issues of the Loudoun Chapter of the VA PBA. Don’t forget to tell your family and friends to do the same.
