On Friday and Saturday September 15 and 16, 2006, the Virginia PBA Board
of Directors met in Richmond for the purpose of screening and endorsing
candidates for the United States Congress. All eleven of the Virginia
District House races are up for election, as well as one of the US
Senate seats.
All candidates were invited to meet with the “Screening Committee” at
the Holiday Inn North on Parham. Seventeen of the candidates responded.
Sixteen of them attended and were interviewed. At the conclusion, the
Committee forwarded their recommendations to the Board of Directors as
required by policy. The Virginia PBA Board of Directors, after much
deliberation, voted on the committee’s recommendations.
The following candidates have received the endorsement of the Virginia
Police Benevolent Association for the United States Senate and House of
Representatives from Virginia:

The Virginia PBA Board of Directors urges each member to support these
candidates and encourage families and friends to do the same and on
November 7th, cast a vote for PBA!
